Edmond Choo is an Australian-born lyric coloratura tenor currently based in London. After graduating with a Bachelor of Music Performance from the Victorian College of the Arts in 2008, Edmond went on to join Opera Australia’s full-time chorus, covering and performing minor principal roles.


Edmond moved to London in late 2011 to continue vocal studies with Raymond Connell and has since worked with a number of companies including The Royal Opera, English National Opera, Welsh National Opera, Grange Park Opera, Opera Holland Park and Opéra de Lyon. He has been a semi-finalist for the Kathleen Ferrier Award (2013) and a finalist for the National Opera Studio programme (2012/13).


In 2014, Edmond performed the role of Naked Youth with Welsh National Opera (WNO) in Schoenberg’s Moses und Aron in Cardiff, Birmingham and London at the Royal Opera House. He later returned to WNO to cover the role of Arnold in Guillaume Tell and in 2015 made his role debut as Arturo in I Puritani.
